What to Expect With the 2020 Mazda CX-30

If you love Mazda cars, then there's some extremely exciting news on the horizon — a brand-new Mazda model will be coming out in 2020. Called the Mazda CX-30, this new car will have a whole new look and feel. Here are some of the features we're looking forward to experiencing in this new car.

Great New Style

The Mazda CX-30 will be sleek, bold, and beautiful. As is typical for Mazda's look, you can expect a striking, shiny, and contemporary appearance. The upper body of the Mazda CX-30 is more narrow and looks more like a typical Mazda top, while the bottom half is heavyset and tough-looking. The compact SUV car is a crossover, which means that the body looks somewhat like a split between a sedan-style and SUV. Along the bottom of the body, a thick, heavy stripe weaves its way across, giving off a sense of power and capability. The goal of the CX-30 in part is to bridge a gap between the Mazda CX-3 and CX-5.

Exterior Specs

The Mazda CX-30 is a compact SUV that is 173 inches long and carries a 104.5-inch wheelbase. The well-known SkyActiv frame (seen in the 2019 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback) is used as a foundation. The suspension has a strut-front/rear-torsion-beam framework. In addition, an efficient rear-hatch profile will likely be utilized, and thick cladding on the lower body, alongside wheel arches, will accentuate the unique style. This lower part has less shine and less sculpt. It makes the body come across as more tough. It looks like there will also be a large 15-cubic-foot cargo capacity to look forward to.

Functional Interior

The cabin of the CX-30 will likely have maneuverability at center stage, while also being incredibly spacious and comfortable. The interior will be comprised of premium materials throughout and contain comfortable seating. There will probably be up-to-date technology specs as well. It's very likely that, as a whole, the interior will look like the Mazda3 cabin. And, like the Mazda3, there could be attention paid to sound insulation, a unique and sporty front-seat design, and a high-tech, eight-speaker audio system. The CX-30 is likely to have excellent driver-assist technologies, like adaptive cruise control and collision monitors.

A Powerful Drive

As has already been stated, the exterior of the Mazda CX-30 has a powerful look, and this will likely be accompanied by front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive as a possible add-on. While the engine makeup is not yet known, it could have a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. A likely horsepower range would be around 186, like the Mazda3. It's also possible that the famous Skyactive-X engine will be used in the car too. On the whole, there will probably be the same powertrain approach as the Mazda3. If you are a Mazda lover, then you should be getting excited about the breakout new vehicle model in 2020. The new Mazda CX-30 is tough and powerful and looks fantastic. Learn more about it at your local Mazda dealership. Image via MazdaUSA.com.
