2025 Mazda CX-50 Overview
Inside the CX-50, you’ll enjoy a comfortable 5-passenger cabin finished with premium materials like standard half leatherette-trimmed seats or available leather. Its dual-zone automatic climate control system keeps the cabin at the perfect temperature, and a pollen filter keeps the air clean. There’s also a generous 31.4 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the rear seats, which fold remotely to expand that space up to 56.3 cu. ft.
The CX-50 is available in a choice of seven trim levels, four of which feature the standard 187-horsepower 2.5-liter engine with an EPA-estimated 31 MPG highway efficiency. The remaining three trims come with a Twin-Scroll Turbo engine that produces 256 horsepower with 29 MPG highway efficiency and 3,500 lbs. of towing capacity. Every CX-50 has a 4-wheel independent suspension with G-Vectoring Control Plus for added cornering stability, plus i-ACTIV AWD for better on-road and off-road traction.
Adventure-Ready 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition
Equipped with a powerful turbo engine, all-terrain tires, and a Mazda Online Navigation System with off-road navigation, the 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition is the CX-50’s most adventurous trim. It’s available in a choice of Polymetal Gray Metallic or Zircon Sand Metallic Paint with exclusive Meridian hood graphics and 18-inch Black Metallic alloy wheels. Inside, it has Terracotta leather-trimmed seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power panoramic moonroof for a clear view of the sky above.
Convenient Features
The CX-50’s standard impressive convenience features include automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers and High Beam Control, which automatically switches between high and low beams when there’s another vehicle ahead. Also standard is Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go, which assists with highway driving. You just need to select your cruising speed and following distance, and this system will automatically adjust your speed when it detects a slower vehicle ahead.
Connected Technology
At the center of every CX-50’s dashboard is a vibrant 10.25-inch infotainment display, which you can control with a Multifunction Commander or voice command. This system controls your standard 8-speaker audio system or available 12-speaker Bose surround sound system and even connects to your compatible smartphone with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Using this connection, you can interact with your phone’s apps, send and receive text messages, and stream your favorite sounds from your phone.
